Songbirds is an all-female choir which has been singing together for almost fifteen years. During that time there have been numerous alterations in line-up and three changes of Musical Director, although several of the choir's founder members are still Songbirds. Currently we have around 30 members across three sections - altos, second sopranos and first sopranos. Our members just love to sing and we try hard all the time to improve our sound.
We work towards performances once or twice a year to raise money for our local chosen charity. The performances are usually held in early Summer and near Christmas.
Spring/Summer 2025
Our new term started on Thursday January 9th at 7.30pm, when we began preparations for our Summer Concert which will take place on Friday June 20th.

.........then come and sing with us - we are always keen to welcome new members!
We are a well established ladies' choir which rehearses on Thursday evenings at The Methodist Church on Northampton Road in Market Harborough 7.30 - 9.00pm.
Our choir is led By: Faye Deane (conductor) and Jane Holyland (Accompanist)
We enjoy singing a wide range of songs - old and new. For example in recent concerts we have sung a Beatles medley, an Abba medley, Les Miserables, Bohemian Rhapsody, Music of the Night, a Carole King medley and a Broadway medley - to name but a few!!
We believe that singing is good for everyone - mentally, physically and emotionally and want other people to join us!
We are not an auditioning choir and new members are encouraged to come and sing with us for free for their first three weeks so that they can find out what we're like!

We are a friendly and sociable choir and there are a number of opportunities in the year to get together - recent examples are a quiz night and supper in October, a ghost walk in November and a delicious Christmas meal in December.
